Jaclyn is a PhD candidate in the Cancer Biology Program. She graduated from MIT with a double major in Chemical-Biological Engineering and Biology in 2022 before coming to Stanford for her PhD studies. Currently, she is interested in studying how to make CAR-T cell therapies safe and efficacious for treating solid tumors. She focuses on investigating non-viral, targeted methods for engineering CAR-T cells as an alternative to viral random integration and engineering safer CAR-T cell circuits that can target cancer cells while sparing normal tissues expressing low levels of the target antigen. Outside of the lab, she enjoys sushi, boba, and spicy food.
